Naxos web: The compositions on Traces take their starting point in poems by Dickinson, Rilke, Tranströmer and Christensen and shape themselves into an instrumental sounding echo of these. Four poets, four shades of inner and outer darkness in a musical context partly inspired by Franz Liszt and Guillaume de Machaut. The fantastic ensembles on the album transform historical echoes into an existentially floating but musically pregnant ruin landscape.
